Development and consulting
The DOIT Centre helps businesses, destinations and public institutions make development decisions in tourism. We prepare strategies and action plans, develop quality systems and new tourism products, and carry out the research on which these decisions are based.
We draw on the expertise of the staff at UP FTŠ Turistica and the faculty’s long experience with development projects, strategies, research, quality systems and expert groundwork for the tourism sector.
What we do
Tourism development strategies and action plans
For destinations, municipalities and regions: from situation analysis to a plan of measures.
Strategy updates and evaluations
We assess what an existing strategy achieves and bring it up to date.
Strategies for specific areas and tourism products
A strategy for a particular area of tourism or a tourism product.
Quality systems and service standards
An in-house quality system: standard operating procedures, training, monitoring and rewards.
New tourism products and experiences
From an idea to an offer tested with guests.
Demand and satisfaction research
Research into tourism demand and the satisfaction of guests, residents and other stakeholders.
Expert analyses and development studies
Expert groundwork for development decisions.
Facilitation of strategic and development workshops
We facilitate workshops where stakeholders shape goals and measures together.
How we work with you
We can connect every stage into a whole. For a hotel, for example, we can combine a guest satisfaction survey, the design of a quality system, staff training at the Turistica Academy and the monitoring of improvements.
Needs analysis
Together we define the starting point, challenges and goals.
Developing the solution
We prepare a strategy, a quality system or a new offer.
Training
We train your staff at the Turistica Academy.
Implementation
We help put the solution into everyday practice.
Evaluating the effects
We monitor improvements and suggest next steps.
